BANGALORE TEST ABANDONED AS A DRAW
More rain on the fifth and final day of the Bangalore Test meant that, when the umpires made their inspection mid-morning, they were left with no alternative other than calling the match off. Play would not have been possible before one o'clock and then only if there were good drying conditions. The fact that it was still raining meant that the captains were in agreement there was no chance of achieving a result and so the third Test was abandoned as a draw. India win the series 1-0.
